This initiative will provide funding for research project high-quality collaboration, focused on addressing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for biomedical and healthcare applications relevant to Brazil and that will advance research or address barriers to the use of AI in healthcare.
Two types of financing are available:
- Research Grants for building partnerships: FAPESP funding will follow the rules for Regular Research Grants.
- Research Grants: FAPESP funding will follow the rules for Thematic Research Grants.
Researchers eligible for FAPESP funding must meet FAPESP eligibility requirements for Regular Research Grant or Thematic Research Grant.
Projects must last three years, starting in February 2025 and concluding by the end of January 2028.
The deadline for submitting proposals is June 28 from 2024.
