Project Registration

With the entry into force of Law No. 13.123/2015 (Biodiversity Law), regulated by Decree No. 8.772 / 2016, all research or product development involving access to Brazilian biodiversity must be registered in the National System for the Management of Genetic Heritage and Associated Traditional Knowledge, known as SisGen🇧🇷 The system was made available on 6/11/2017 and established by Ordinance SECEX/CGEN No. 1. The following guidelines are considered important:

The registration must be done after registration and qualification of the project coordinator's bond with Unicamp.

Project registration in SisGen must be done by the teacher/researcher in charge (or advisor), who must include all students and other team members.

At the beginning of the registration, select the user “unicamp” and then enter the information regarding access.

When there are changes in fact or in law in the information provided to the SisGen, the user must update their registrations or notifications.

The guidelines contained in this site do not exempt interested parties from the careful reading of the legislation that regulates the subject, whose determinations must be strictly complied with.

REMEMBER IF

The registration of the project must be carried out prior to sending the sample abroad, applying for any intellectual property right, marketing the intermediate product, disclosing final or partial results in scientific or communication media or product notification. finished or reproductive material developed as a result of accession. If the research project foresees the sending of samples abroad to provide services as part of research or technological development, in which the responsibility for the sample remains with whoever performs the access in Brazil, before the registration of the project in SisGen it must be signed the Shipping Instrument.
