Guidance counsellors

Submission of Projects and Workshops

The Science and Art on Holidays (CAF) program is held annually, during the month of January, and aims to awaken young talents to scientific research and artistic activities and involve them, from an early age, in practical activities in which they come into contact with the challenges science, the methodology of scientific work, the human environment of research laboratories and the different forms of artistic expression, under the guidance of professors and researchers at UNICAMP.

Active professors with an employment relationship with Unicamp, in addition to PQ career researchers and Professors/Researchers Volunteer Collaborators (only retired professors from Unicamp) may act as PIBIC-EM advisors.

The submission of the research project or workshop for high school students must be forwarded to the Pro-Rectory of Research, by completing the electronic form, available on this website, during the registration period.

Registration is annual and generally takes place between the months of September and October.

The interested professor or researcher may submit only 1 (one) research project or workshop per year.

Types of submission:

  1. Research project: aims to receive at least 3 students daily in the laboratories, during the program period, from 8:30 am to 17:30 pm, except on Wednesdays to carry out a brief research project.
  2. Group project (workshops) morning: aims to receive approximately 50 students to develop practical and group activities in Campinas (Campus – Barão Geraldo) on 17/01, 24/01 and 31/01/2024 in the morning (9:00 am to 12:00 pm).
  3. Group project (workshops) afternoon: aims to receive approximately 50 students to develop practical and group activities in Campinas (Campus – Barão Geraldo) on 10/01, 17/01 and 24/01/2024 in the afternoon (14:00 pm to 17:00 pm).

In either format, the involvement of undergraduate and graduate students as monitors is suggested.

Projects may be submitted by a group of professors, with only one responsible, allowing participating students to have access to several laboratories, in addition to scheduling joint activities.

The selection of scholarship holders, as well as their allocation to projects, will be carried out by the Dean of Research.

Financial assistance

Part of the resources allocated to the contemplated projects may be granted through a FAPESP amendment, in cases where the professor or researcher in charge has a Regular, Thematic or CEPID Aid project in force, and the project data must be informed when submitting the proposal.

The resources granted by FAPESP amendment must comply with the norms of use defined by the Development Agency.

The financial resources made available must be used exclusively at CAF, until the end of February, for the purchase of consumables and payment for services necessary for the development of the activities foreseen in the contemplated projects, as well as for the payment of monitors, who must be students regularly enrolled at Unicamp.
To pay the monitors, the supervisors responsible must complete the specific form for payment of the FAEPEX scholarship, available at the Espaço do Executor at funcamp website.

Closing poster

The group must create a poster with the content of the research project to be displayed at the program's closing ceremony.

The poster must be made with rope to hang and follow the TEMPLATE for download.
