The CAFin program is aimed at students in the 8th and 9th grade of elementary school in the Municipal Network of Campinas.
The program lasts 1 week and takes place in July, during the winter school holidays.
CAFin enables elementary school students to participate in practical activities (workshops) related to current challenges in science and art within the research environment, under the supervision of Unicamp professors/researchers.
The selection and enrollment of students interested in participating in CAFin must be carried out exclusively by the schools.
Registration requirements and conditions
- Be regularly enrolled in the 8th or 9th year of elementary school in a Escola da Rede Municipal de Campinas.
- Have school attendance equal to or greater than 80%.
- Have good behavior, interest and availability from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 16:30 pm, during the term of the program.
Registration and selection
- The receipt of registrations and selection of students will be carried out by the Municipal Secretary of Education of Campinas.
- Students enrolled in the Program must have their own CPF.
- Selected students must present authorization from their guardians.
Student support
- Transportation to/from school to Unicamp chartered by the City of Campinas;
- Lunch at the University Restaurant during the period of activities;
- Access to medical and dental care services at Unicamp's Community Health Center (CECOM), in case of emergency; and
- Certificate of participation for graduates.
