The objective of the Institutional Scholarship Program for Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI) is to provide undergraduate students with learning the scientific method and techniques in their area of expertise through the development of a technological research project, under the guidance of a research professor from Unicamp, granting scholarships in the amount of R$ 700,00/month for a period of up to 12 (twelve) months.
Bearing in mind that Scientific Initiation aims to “initiate” undergraduate students in the scientific area, PIBITI has the same objective with a technological and innovative approach.
A Technological Development and Innovation Initiation project may involve the development, improvement or feasibility study of products, prototypes, processes, services, systems or business models, etc.

Project Application
In the 1st stage of registration, the student must select the option “Technological Initiation” to apply for PIBITI/CNPq scholarships.
Important: Professors and researchers (PQ career), active and with a Unicamp employment relationship, or Volunteer Professors / Researchers Collaborators (only retired Unicamp professors) may act as advisors.
In the 2nd stage of registration, the research project must be a PDF file with a maximum of 8 pages containing:
- Summary
- Introduction
- Objectives
- Methods
- Schedule of activities
- References
- In the case of an external student (another institution), the academic record must be attached at the end of the project.
The registrations of the Lattes CVs of the Student and the Advisor are mandatory to send the application.
