The Applied Research Centers (CPA) must carry out internationally competitive research and contribute to the training of highly qualified human resources, in addition to establishing a clear strategy to accelerate the convergence of research efforts and their appropriation by society, through innovation and diffusion .
New CPAs will be required to conduct research in two priority areas: 1) Solutions for direct health care; 2) Data Science for research and management in Health.
The proposal must have at least three diverse institutions, including at least one large tertiary hospital and a large outpatient care network or a large health services network.
FAPESP's financial support provides for financing of up to R$5 million, for a period of 5 years, which can be renewed for a maximum of up to another 5 years. Proposals must demonstrate financial compensation from Partner Institutions of amounts at least equal to those requested from FAPESP.
